Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 2, 2026 · Last updated: August 2, 2026
Nomos Labs LLC("Nomos", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information we collect
When you use the Platform we collect:
- Account information — email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), account role (customer or provider).
- Profile information — for Providers: display name, title, bio, location, languages, years of experience, avatar and gallery photos.
- Service listings — titles, descriptions, prices, photos, and moderation status.
- Messages — the content of inquiries you send to other users through the Platform.
- Payment reference information — for Zelle transactions, the memo and confirmation details you provide. We do not receive your bank account credentials.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, timestamps, and basic access logs for security and diagnostics.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Operate the Platform and provide the marketplace functionality.
- Match customers with providers and route inquiries.
- Process payments, calculate commissions, and issue payouts.
- Detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- Communicate with you about your account, transactions, and platform updates.
3. How we share your information
- With other users — when you send an inquiry to a Provider, we share your email and message with that Provider so they can respond.
- Public profile— a Provider's profile (name, photo, bio, location, ratings, service listings) is publicly visible on the Platform. Do not include information you consider private.
- Service providers — we may share data with vendors that help us operate the Platform (e.g., hosting, image storage, email delivery). These vendors are bound to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us.
- Legal — we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfer — if Nomos is acquired, merged, or reorganized, your information may be transferred to the successor, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies and local storage
The Platform uses browser local storage to keep you signed in (authentication token). We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we retain minimal information as required for legal, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Your rights
You may:
- Access, correct, or update your account and profile information at any time from your account settings.
- Request deletion of your account.
- Object to certain processing of your data.
- Depending on your jurisdiction, exercise additional rights under GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), PIPL (China), or similar laws.
To exercise these rights, email us at yuanhm@gmail.com.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including salted password hashes, HTTPS for data in transit, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure. Please choose a strong password and notify us at once of any suspected compromise.
8. Children
The Platform is not intended for direct use by anyone under 18. Accounts may only be registered by adults.
A parent or legal guardian may arrange Services on behalf of a minor under their own account. In that case, we do not collect personal information from the minor directly. Any information the account holder chooses to share with a Provider (for example, the minor's first name or age in a message about tutoring) is shared under the account holder's own responsibility. We recommend sharing only the minimum information necessary for the Service.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information directly, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Our servers may be located in the United States or other jurisdictions where we operate. By using the Platform you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.
10. Third-party links
The Platform may link to third-party sites we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those sites; please review their own privacy policies.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email to the address on your account. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
